Change the way you think and feel about yourself, and the world around you begins to change. Self Esteem and self confidence are often grouped together, but they are actually two different concepts. They are terms which we use to describe the thoughts and feelings which we have about ourselves.
Self esteem is an accumulation of thoughts, feelings, and life experiences which have shaped the way we view ourselves as an individual. People with low self esteem often believe they are not good enough in some way. They can hold a distorted image of their appearance, and generally have a negative and self derogatory opinion of themselves.
Self confidence, on the other hand, is the way we feel about our capabilities to perform certain tasks or how we behave in certain situations. For example having the confidence to deliver a successful speech, or the confidence to perform certain aspects of your job, or, sometimes, having the confidence to just believe you can do “it” … like passing your driving test, or those important exams, or excelling in that meeting or job interview.
Working together, we will use a variety of techniques to raise your self esteem, which in turn will improve and raise your self confidence. We can work on both issues at the same time, one enhancing the other.
You will be given techniques and tools which can be used long after our work together has ended, and the strategies and techniques used are suitable for both adults and children of all ages.
