Performance Anxiety

Exams, Driving Test, Public Speaking,Acting, Interviews etc

It is perfectly natural to feel a little nervous tension on the day of important tests and exams, or when you are required to speak in public, or even on the opening night of your play. There is also ever increasing pressure in the workplace, which can be a problem when giving presentations or when participating in an important meeting or interview.

However, whilst a little nervous tension is a good thing and can help us to give our best, sometimes that can turn into excessive anxiety and panic, to such an extent that any hope of achieving the desired results is completely over ridden.

You start to concentrate your fears on all the things that could wrong, and then your mind goes blank. Your mouth goes dry, you begin to perspire, and you forget everything you’ve practiced, prepared or revised, and you freeze!

If this continues to happen then these feelings can spiral out of control and may cause you to experience anxiety attacks and stress. Unless this vicious circle of negative emotions are dealt are with it can result in long term performance based anxiety.

Hypnotherapy and psychotherapy are amazing tools for helping to calm those nerves, boost confidence and reduce those out of control feelings of stress and anxiety. They help you to remain calm, focussed, and able to cope with any potentially overwhelming situation, restoring your confidence and self belief and give you the best possible chance of your desired outcome.

If you are searching this website for help with these kind of issues, then I would be happy to speak to you or arrange for you to come along for a free consultation where we can discuss things in greater detail.

Why waste any further time and energy on all that anxiety when it could be channelled into your project?
